Steve Weitnauer, PE

About

Steve founded SOLUTIONS pdm in 2009 with over 25 years of design and construction experience. His portfolio consists primarily of commercial office projects, both new construction and fit-out/renovation. Steve is a graduate of NC State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (1985), and is a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina (1989).

Prior to founding SOLUTIONS pdm, Steve managed The Staubach Company’s Design and Construction Consulting Services office located in Raleigh, which was acquired by another firm in 2008.

Steve also has extensive experience in the design and construction of complicated buildings and system types through his work in the public sector. While serving as the Director of the Facilities Planning and Design Department for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Steve managed the Facilities Planning and Design department for the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Serving as Director of FP&D, Steve managed 29 projects valued at $144 million through the design phase in less than 4 years.

Steve also served as project manager for IES Engineers, Inc., a firm specializing in engineering for healthcare clients. Steve’s healthcare project management experience includes the HVAC retrofit for New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit, and renovations for the installation of a variety of medical imaging devices.
